I'm very picky about computers. I searched for some time before settling on this one. Since I was going to install a different operative system on it, I wanted to make sure the computer would work. I decided for this one over the HP Mini and MSI wind (trying to keep price and weight as low as possible).

The first thing I noticed was the checkered finish on the top shell, which I didn't know it had (probably my mistake). It has two power buttons, the one on the right it starts the unit up normally and the left one starts the fast Splashtop environment (linux) which it's up and searching the web in just a few seconds.

The battery takes maybe 3-4 cycles of full charge and discharge to develop its full range, so don't worry. Now it's just funny how it alerts me there is little charge left in the battery and it means there is 1 hour and a half to go! It can easily take a day of web browsing or working on documents with no problem.

The touchpad, since it has capabilities of multitouch and gestures, it might take some adjusting if you are the kind of person who gets mad at the mouse if it does something you didn't intend.

I installed Ubuntu Netbook Edition 10.04 from a usb stick and it runs wonderfully. To get the wireless working you need to install the drivers after the fact, but everything else works out of the box. I haven't logged in the windows side since I have Linux =D
